This multi-purpose EOD/mobile command center is built on a Freightliner MT-55 forward control chassis and features a 23,000lb GVWR. The vehicle is powered by a 6.0L V8 gas engine and has an Allison automatic transmission. The custom all aluminum dry van body has a swing out rear door with a bi-fold ramp for easy loading/unloading of the department’s bomb robot. There is a swing out curbside door as well for entry into the vehicle. The vehicle is also equipped with bright LED scene lighting. Dual Extreme Duty body storage compartments have also been integrated into the body for additional storage.

Inside, there is a single workstation with a spider base task chair for a staff member. Custom aluminum cabinet is also include for gear storage. We fabricated adjustable aluminum shelves with roll up doors on both the driver and passenger side. Mesh cargo netting is included to secure items during transport. E-track has also been added to the walls for additional hauling options. VersaTie tracking has been recessed into the floor to secure the department’s robot during transport. Magnetic surface dry erase white boards have been added to the interior walls. There is a 28″ 720P LED HDTV installed at the curbside workstation. We also included a Day Box with non-sparking interior and welded handles.

The HVAC system consists of a power roof ventilator and a low profile rooftop A/C unit with wall thermostat. A direct discharge furnace provides heat to the interior during the winter months. An Onan Commercial Quiet 7kW generator has been installed within a custom fabricated compartment. A full vehicle surge suppression system protects all of the installed electronics. A complete emergency lighting and siren package has also been installed. Additional features include a 15ft. exterior awning and a removable shelf on the exterior.
