The Denver Police Department took delivery of this beautiful new mobile command center! Denver PD's vehicle is built on a Ford F59 stripped chassis and features a Triton V10 gasoline engine and 5-speed TorqShift Automatic transmission with OD. One of LDV's industry-exclusive flat-floor slide-out room extensions provides additional space inside the vehicle, leaving more room for staff to work in. This slide-out, as well as other vehicle systems such as HVAC, lighting, vehicle leveling, and more can be controlled through LDV's Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation system. Intel-I-Touch allows staff to automate startup and shutdown procedures, saving time when at a scene.
Inside, the vehicle is divided into three different sections: the front conference room, middle area with galley and storage, and the rear work area. At the front is a fixed conference table with a folding leaf and multiple charging and network connections built into the table's base. A 50" 4K UHD Smart HDTV has been installed on the slide-out wall above flip-down bench seating. The remaining two have been installed over the fixed bench seating with removable cushions for additional storage space.
At the center of the vehicle is the galley area which includes a 950-watt microwave, Keurig coffee maker, and 2.7 cu.ft. AC and DC powered refrigerator. A pull-out tray creates easy access for the customer-supplied printer/fax/copier/scanner. Custom-fabricated closets provide additional storage in this area. The rear work area features custom overhead cabinets with dry erase writing surfaces, spider-base task chairs, and a 32" LED TV between the two workstations. Flip-down bench seating has also been installed on the driver side as well. Laminate countertop has been used throughout the vehicle for durability. Pre-wire and installation provisions were made for the customer-supplied printer/fax/copier/scanner and their 5G wireless router.
Supplying electric power to the mobile command center is a 15-kW liquid-cooled gasoline generator in a custom-fabricated compartment. HVAC is handled by two Broan 5,120 Btu/hr electric heaters and two low-profile air conditioners with wall-mounted thermostats. A color back-up camera system assists with parking duties. Finishing off the exterior is a complete emergency lights and siren package for high visibility when traveling to a scene.
