Coppell Police Department Mobile Command Post

The Coppell Police Department chose a Freightliner MT-55 walk-in style van for their new mobile command unit. The vehicle features an all aluminum construction step van body with a single LDV-fabricated aluminum flat floor slide-out added for maximum interior workspace. Vehicle deployment is handled via LDV's Intel-I-Touch™ touchscreen vehicle automation system. The truck has a Zone Defense color backup camera system with 3 cameras to see the rear and both sides of the vehicle. Inside the vehicle is a front conference room with a Tecslate™ collaboration touchscreen display wall mounted. Meeting area is provided by a flip-up conference table, fixed bench seats with removable cushions for additional storage and flip-down benches for more seating capacity. There is a galley kitchen in the center of the vehicle with a 2.7 cu. ft. refrigerator and a microwave oven for convenience. In the rear there are three workstations with high resolution monitors. Custom fabricated aluminum cabinets with flip-up front doors were installed for storage throughout the vehicle. Two magnetic dry erase white boards are installed. Counter tops throughout are Wilsonart laminate for durability. The HVAC system consists of two low profile ducted rooftop A/C units than pump out 15,000 BTU/hr. A 12kW Onan Commercial Quiet Diesel generator supplies the electric power for the vehicle.
