Contra Costa County Sheriff (CA) Equipment Vehicle

Contra Costa County Sheriff of California just took delivery of this new specialty equipment/rapid response vehicle. Built on a Ford F550 chassis with 2WD, the vehicle features a 6.7L Power Stroke turbo diesel engine with 10-speed automatic transmission. The body is an all aluminum dry van vody with custom roll up side doors for gear storage. Inside the roll up doors are custom adjustable aluminum body pan shelves with LED lighting. We also integrated our extreme duty body storage compartments. The rear bumper has a custom aluminum flip down step for access into the interior. The cab of the truck has a custom fabricated center console which houses a customer supplied communications radio. The outside the truck has LED scene lights and a complete emergency lighting package.   Inside the vehicle are gear storage areas with mesh cargo netting to secure. The front work area has a multi function printer on a slide out tray and custom aluminum cabinets with dry erase writing surface on the overhead cabinets. There is also a custom fabricated slide out tray for Contra Costa's plotter. CAT6 wiring and jacks are included. There is also a Cradlepoint cellular router installed.   HVAC system includes a single low profile A/C unit with wall mounted thermostat. An Onan Commercial Quiet diesel generator supplies the electric power. A full vehicle surge suppression system protects all electrical components.
