Connecticut State Police just took delivery of this new Mobile Crime Lab. The crime lab is built on a Freightliner M2 conventional cab chassis with a 330HP diesel engine. The 22ft. dry van body features our extreme duty body storage compartments and dual LDV-fabricated flat floor slide-outs. Entry into the crime lab is through a curbside entry door or via the rear entry with custom flip down step. The vehicle is equipped with leveling to stabilize it on scene. We also installed a complete emergency lighting and siren package on the mobile crime lab. A color backup camera system has also been installed to assist with parking duties. The crime lab is also equipped with (4) telescoping LED light poles.
Inside the mobile crime lab, the front room is a work area with dual workstations and spider base task chairs. We included a bank of storage cabinets with stainless steel counter top for durability. Overhead cabinets have been installed in the slide outs for additional storage with dry erase writing surfaces. We integrated an egress window in the mobile crime lab for safety. A galley with 2.7cu. ft. refrigerator is included along with a hand pump water system.
The rear of the vehicle has roll up gear storage compartments with LED interior lighting. Dual ducted low profile rooftop A/C units with wall-mounted thermostat handle the cooling duties inside the mobile crime lab. An Onan Commercial Quiet 12kW diesel generator supplies the electric power. A full vehicle surge suppression system protects all electric systems.
