Collier County Sheriff (FL) Bomb Disposal/EOD

This Collier County Sheriff Large Response Vehicle is also known as a Bomb Disposal Vehicle. Built on a Freightliner MT-55 forward control chassis, it is powered by a CUMMINS B6.7L diesel engine with an Allison 2200EVS automatic transmission. We integrated one of our LDV-fabricated flat-floor slide-outs to maximize the available interior work space. The exterior features a weatherproof workstation with high resolution display monitor. We also integrated our Extreme Duty body storage compartments. The vehicle is equipped with a vehicle leveling system, emergency lighting and siren package and a rooftop access ladder. The vehicle also has a curbside-installed auto open/close liftgate for loading/unloading their robot as well as a power opening roll up access door. Dual power retracting curbside awnings have also been installed.

On the inside, our Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation touchscreen handles deployment of the vehicle and system monitoring. The front work room has dual workstations with 24" high resolution display monitors in the streetside slideout. The robot antenna controller is also located here. Custom aluminum storage cabinets have also been installed. The curbside wall also has dual 43" Smart TV monitors. There is a bank of aluminum drawers with stainless work top on the curbside in the front room. An overhead electronics rack has also been included. Large gear storage trays with cargo netting and LED lighting are included in the center of the vehicle. The rear of the truck has room for the robot with diamond plate flooring. ATF-spec day boxes are also installed.

Blackout curtains have been included for covert operations. Dual magnetic surface dry erase white boards have been installed. A powerful 12kW diesel generator with a full vehicle surge protection system supplies electric power to the vehicle. Three ducted low profile rooftop A/C units with wall thermostat handle the cooling duties. Additional equipment includes: perimeter IP cameras, hybrid video recorder and an HDMI matrix switcher. CAT6 network wiring and jacks are included. We also installed a Cradlepoint cellular router.
