Chagrin Valley Dispatch of Ohio selected a 28ft. Freightliner MT-55 to create this new mobile command vehicle. Their custom truck features all aluminum body construction with three of our in-house fabricated flat-floor slide-outs integrated into the body to maximize the available interior work space. Deployment and shut-down of the vehicle is handled by our Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation system to simplify the controls of the vehicle. Chagrin Valley Dispatch also went with a weatherproof exterior workstation for their truck complete with 49" QLED Smart TV and a flip-down work surface. Extreme duty body storage compartments add additional gear storage to the outside. A non-locking pneumatic mast with dual perimeter surveillance cameras were integrated to the outside as well. A folding ladder makes rooftop access simple as well for future service needs.
Inside, the vehicle has a front collaboration area with stowable laminate table. There are four workstations in the front and two in the rear of the truck with four monitors each (24 in total). A 32" flip-down monitor is housed in a ceiling mounted compartment. Spider base task chairs are included. The center of the vehicle is home to the galley with microwave, refrigerator and Keurig® coffee maker. There is a lavatory with plumbed water system as well. The rear of the vehicle is a conference room with fixed conference table with flip-up leaf, two additional workstations and fixed bench seating. A large rack houses all of the electronics equipment for the vehicle including a video matrix switcher to send video signals to any monitor in the truck.
We installed customer supplied communications radios throughout the truck for their dispatch needs. CAT6 network wiring and jacks are used throughout the vehicle. We also installed seven customer supplied computers at the workstations. A Columbia Weather Systems Magellan series weather station with LCD touchscreen was also integrated in the interior. For sunny days, a retractable lateral arm awning was also installed. Stabilization of the vehicle on scene is handled with a vehicle leveling system. Electric power is supplied to the truck by a 25kW liquid cooled diesel generator.
