Centro Salud Justicia de Puerto Rico Mobile Medical Vehicle

Puerto Rico Health Justice Center (PR) just took delivery of this new mobile medical vehicle. Built on a Freightliner MT-55 forward control chassis, the all aluminum body has integrated Extreme Duty body storage compartments and a swing out access door for the Braun electric pneumatic wheelchair lift. Entry into the vehicle is through a curbside entry door with electric step. We installed bright LED scene lighting on the exterior as well. A color backup camera system was installed to ease parking maneuvers. A power retracting pneumatic awning was installed on the curbside to provide shade.

Inside, a front waiting and check in area features a cafe style workstation complete with fixed bench seating and solid surface counter top. We installed a 32" LED monitor on the curbside wall. Custom aluminum cabinets are powder coated bright blue to create a welcoming interior space. An overhead electronics rack has also been installed. Soft closing magnetic catch pocket doors create privacy when needed. A long fixed bench seat has also been installed with removable cushions for underseat storage. An IP security camera is installed in the vehicle complete with SD memory.

The center of the vehicle has a lavatory complete with toilet and sink area with on board hot water heater. The floor has a drain as well for use as a shower.

The rear of the vehicle is a patient exam room with task stool, Welch Allyn diagnostic medical equipment and additional powder coated storage cabinets. We also included a digital floor scale. A sharps container has also been installed on the wall. There is also a sink in this room. When the wheelchair lift is not being used, it is stowed in this area. The customer also wanted an all-in-one printer installed in the rear room.

HVAC duties are handled by (2) ducted low profile rooftop A/C units with wall thermostat. A Onan 7.5kW diesel generator supplies the electric power to the vehicle. Electronics equipment is protected by a full vehicle surge suppression system. Six rooftop solar panels have also been installed. CAT6 network wiring and jacks are utilized throughout along with a Cradlepoint cellular router.
