We recently completed this mobile medical vehicle for Canovanas Emergency Management (EM) of Puerto Rico. Built on a Ford F59 chassis, the medical vehicle features a 7.3L gasoline engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The all aluminum body has extreme duty body storage compartments for gear storage. We integrated a wheelchair access door with a Braun electric-hydraulic lift for accessibility. Entry into the vehicle is by swing out curbside entry door.

The floorplan includes dual patient rooms: one in the front and one in the rear of the medical vehicle. The front room features an examination table with a spider base task stool. A staff and medical-grade refrigerator are also part of the front room. A work area with stainless steel sink and locking drawers are also included. We installed a soap dispenser, paper towel holder, sharps container and a magnetic closure pocket door for privacy. A Welch Allyn diagnostics set is wall mounted for convenience. A medical floor scale is also part of the front room.

The center of the vehicle has a lavatory and check in desk area. A single fixed bench seat is included for use as a waiting area. A 32″ display monitor is wall mounted.

The rear patient room has an examination table, spider base task stool and sink. An overheard cabinet provide storage. A second Welch Allyn diagnostics equipment set is wall mounted on the rear wall. We also included a medical floor scale in this rear patient room.

The medical vehicle is equipped with a pressurized water supply system with a 2.5 gallon electric hot water heater. HVAC duties are handled by three low profile rooftop A/C units with wall thermostat. A powerful 15kW liquid-cooled gasoline generator supplies plenty of electric power to the vehicle. A full vehicle surge suppression system is also installed. Four perimeter cameras are installed on the vehicle as well.
