Camden County Department of Public Safety (NJ) Mobile Command Center

Camden County Department of Public Safety recently took delivery of this new mobile command center. The vehicle is built on a Freightliner M2 single rear axle chassis and features a CUMMINS L9 350HP diesel engine with an Allison 3000EVS automatic transmission with PTO provision. We integrated three of our custom fabricated flat floor slide-outs to maximize the available interior workspace. A hand fabricated exterior monitor compartment is also included. Two LDV-exclusive Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation touch panels are included (cab and interior) to simplify the set up and shut down of the vehicle on scene. Our Intel-I-Touch features simple to use step by step control of the vehicle's systems including the generator, vehicle leveling, slide-outs, lighting, HVAC and more. Localized small Intel-I-Touch pads are also installed. Entry into the vehicle is by curbside with a pull out aluminum stair cassette or rear entry. We installed our Extreme Duty body storage compartments for gear storage. A complete emergency lighting and siren package has also been installed along with bright LED scene lighting.

Inside, the mobile command center has four interior rooms. The front room is a spacious conference room complete with fixed center collaboration table with spider base task chairs and flip down bench seating for staff. A 50" display monitor and dual 24" display monitors are installed on the front wall. A 43" display monitor is installed in each slide out. Magnetic surface dry erase white boards are also included. Custom aluminum cabinetry is utilized throughout for storage.

The center of the vehicle features a large electronics rack and a closet for storage. A galley with microwave, Keurig® coffee maker and a 2.7 cu. ft. refrigerator are also included.

The next room features four workstations, each with a spider base task chair and dual 24" display monitors. We also installed the computers for each workstation. Overhead cabinets feature dry erase writing surface. An Extron HDMI matrix switcher has also been installed. The last room features two more workstations, each with a single 24" display monitor. We also installed customer provide radio chargers and two more magnetic surface dry erase white boards.

HVAC duties are handled by three ducted low profile rooftop A/C units, two electric heaters and two direct discharge diesel furnaces. A PowerTech 25kW diesel generator supplies plenty of electric power to the vehicle and all electrical systems are protected by a full vehicle surge suppression system.
