We built this Dive Rescue vehicle for the Byron Fire Protection District. Built on a Ford F550 4x4 SD regular cab diesel chassis. The dive rescue vehicle is an 18ft. all aluminum dry van body.
It includes fixed bench seating with removable cushions for additional storage, one spider base task chair and workstation, aluminum cabinetry with LED strip lighting, two aluminum box pan shelves, 12 custom aluminum heavy-duty gear lockers with top and bottom air circulation and a stowable work table. Roll-up mesh netting secures gear during transport. An Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation touch screen handles all vital vehicle controls on scene. The interior also has a window for more natural light and bright LED lighting.
A curbside retractable awning, complete emergency lighting and siren package and a roll-up storage compartment. Super bright LED tripod lights are also installed on the exterior of the vehicle. Electric power is provided by a 7.5kW diesel generator.
