The Bureau of INL in Morocco chose a Ford F-550 chassis for their new mobile command center. This vehicle packs plenty of power with its 6.7L Powerstroke diesel engine and 44W 6-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift. For entrance into the vehicle, an automatic entryway step with an LED ground light is deployed when the door is opened.
When entering the vehicle, there are three workstations. These workstations each feature a 24" UltraSharp monitor, docking station for their laptop, and RJ-45 Cat6 network jacks. The surveillance joystick is also located at this work area and sits next to an all-in-one printer. A galley area with a hand pump water system, sink, microwave, and refrigerator is also found in this area along with a generous electronics rack with a vented door. Countertops have been covered in Wilsonart laminate for durability. The rear is a conference area featuring two sliding egress windows, fixed bench seating with removable cushions for additional storage, and a double pedestal table. On the back wall is a 42" LED display monitor. During transit, the table top can be stowed using the strap located on the wall. The pedestal legs can be stored underneath the fixed bench seating. When privacy is needed, a FRP-covered pocket door can be utilized to create separation between the back and front work areas. All electric work is compatible with Morocco's standard electrical grid.
The rear of the vehicle features a heavy-duty non-locking telescoping mast with a Dome Network camera featuring Lightfinder technology. There is also a video decoder which ensures staff can keep watch over their surroundings while at a scene. A 16' awning provides coverage for those entering and exiting the vehicle as well as those who may be working outside. Providing electric power to the vehicle is a 20.8-kW liquid-cooled diesel generator in a custom-fabricated compartment with sound upgrade to keep generator noise to a minimum. For cooling needs, two 50 Hz international series air conditioners with direct discharge plenums have been installed. Each unit also features an electric heat strip. To ensure the vehicle sits level, a heavy-duty fully automatic one-touch vehicle leveling system has been installed. Emergency lights and sirens finish off the exterior, creating high visibility when traveling to a scene.
