Buckeye Police Department (AZ) Mobile Command Center

VEHICLE OVERVIEW

The Buckeye Police Department's 36-foot mobile command center is built on a Freightliner MT-55 forward control chassis and is powered by a Cummins B6.7L diesel engine with automatic transmission. The body of the vehicle is all aluminum for durability and corrosion resistance. On the exterior, some of the key features are two of our industry-exclusive flat-floor slide-outs, a custom fabricated weatherproof exterior workstation with large 50" display monitor and flip-down work surface and our extreme duty body storage compartments. To stabilize and level the vehicle on-scene, a leveling system was installed. The vehicle also has a large power retractable awning with wind speed-sensing technology. We integrated a complete emergency lighting and siren package as well. The vehicle is also equipped with a Night Scan LED light tower with camera. The camera is operated by a stand alone controller from inside the vehicle. We prewired the vehicle for a customer installed rear mast on the vehicle also. Simplified deployment of the vehicle is handle by one of our Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation touchscreens.

Inside, there is a generous front conference room with a fixed center table that accommodates up to 6 staff members plus flip-down bench seating on each of the outer walls. We custom fabricated magnetic dry erase white boards for the interior as well. We installed two 50" LED TV monitors in the front conference area that can display a host of different video inputs via matrix switcher. We installed a streaming Blu-Ray player and a digital HDTV antenna for additional video sources. CAT6 network wiring and jacks are utilized throughout.

The center of the vehicle includes a galley with microwave oven, refrigerator, Keurig® coffee maker and a 45qt. cooler on a custom fabricated slide-out tray. Custom aluminum cabinetry provides ample storage for gear and equipment. Overhead cabinet doors feature dry erase writing surfaces. A multi-function printer/copier/fax machine on a slide-out tray was installed to the interior.

The rear room inside the vehicle includes two workstations and a café-style table on the streetside with dual fixed seats and work surface. Durable laminate countertops are utilized throughout the interior of the vehicle.

Electric power is supplied by a 25kW generator housed in a custom fabricated housing. The vehicle's electrical systems are protected by a surge suppression system. Cooling of the interior is handled by three low-profile rooftop A/C units with thermostat. Dual wall mounted electric heaters handle heating during cooler months.

"I was very satisfied with the whole experience and process. I believe that the sales personnel and technicians are very knowledgeable and have years of institutional knowledge that shows in the execution of the unit. My questions were all ways answered immediately and if there was any reach back for additional confirmation it was always followed up with a phone call and email. The open lines of communication provided both of us the full awareness of where we were in the build process and helped eliminate unnecessary delays or unanswered questions. Everyone I encountered during my visits were always smiling and happy while working, which was great to see and experience. This is reflected in the finished product that was noticed by my staff and all others that have visited to see the new addition to our fleet."
