Inventive layout! Brandon Dillon's 22ft. Freightliner MT-55 tool truck features a Cummins 6.7L diesel engine, 2200 HS Allison automatic transmission with park pawl, air brakes, and air suspension. This all-aluminum construction also features chrome heated power mirrors, chrome bumper, and a single rear swing door. To assist with loading and unloading heavy inventory, a 2,000lb. all-aluminum lift gate has also been added to the rear of the vehicle.
Inside, is an overhead lighted knife case in the cab area along with an overhead soap display and ABS literature rack found underneath the front promo shelf. Loncoin flooring has been used in the vehicle for durability. A SolidCore L-shaped workstation sits at the front of the store area with a flip-down drawer for printer access, locking cash box, three additional drawers, and a wastebasket. A compressed air test line has also been added to the workstation for convenience. There are also three toolbox areas (88", 62", 42") with smooth plate for added protection.
Brandon opted to put his SolidCore 22" double repair stack in the center of the vehicle with a SolidCore split shelf installed above. Space has been made above the VersaFlex display drawers for the carpeted hammer rack at the back of the vehicle. SolidCore shelving has also been used along with LDV's 5-shelf interior and socket rails with bar magnets provide even more inventory display space. HVAC is handled by a 53,000 BTU engine-driven A/C with rooftop mounted condensor and a 12,000 BTU diesel fired furnace. Prep for a rooftop 110 volt A/C unit has also been added.
