Bergen County Prosecutor's Office (NJ) HNT/Mobile Command Center

Bergen County Prosecutor's Office of New Jersey just took delivery of this new Hostage Negotiation Vehicle/Mobile Command Center. The 18ft. Freightliner MT-55 features a gasoline chassis with a 6.0L V8 engine and an Allison 2200HS automatic transmission. The body of the vehicle is all aluminum and features integrated extreme duty body storage compartments. A custom black powder coated aluminum flip down rear step allows easy access into the vehicle. LDV also built and installed a custom front push bumper which is powder coated black with UHMW Polyethylene for scuff protection. The HVAC system features dual low profile rooftop A/C units with wall mounted thermostat and dual wall mounted electric heaters. A Wrico 12kW liquid-cooled generator supplies the electric power to the vehicle. A complete emergency lighting and siren package was fitted to the vehicle as well. The truck is also equipped with a leveling system. We also installed (4) perimeter IP cameras around the exterior of the vehicle. A non-locking pneumatic mast has been installed with additional surveillance camera system. Inside, there is a front collaboration room which is also used during HNT operations. We installed a custom laminate table with 4 spider base task chairs as well as a flip-down bench seat. The center of the vehicle features a fixed bench seat with seating for 3 staff members and a stowable table. Custom aluminum cabinets are installed throughout for gear storage. The rear of the vehicle has dual workstations with monitors, a refrigerator and a multi-function printer on a slide-out tray. Above that is an electronics cabinet/rack. Adjustable shelving is also included for flexibility with stowing gear. The interior of the vehicle is also equipped with night mode red lighting for covert operations.
