The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office of New Jersey just received their new forensics vehicle designed to combat cyber crimes! Their new forensics vehicle is built on a Ford F550 XLT SD cab diesel chassis which features a 6.7L OHV Power Stroke diesel V8 engine and TorqShift 10-speed automatic transmission with PTO. On the curbside is an automatic electric awning which provides shade for those utilizing the weatherproof exterior access door with a 32" TV monitor. It has also been outfitted with LDV's exclusive Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation system to assist in operating the awning, HVAC system, lights, generator and so much more.
Inside the forensics vehicle are five workstations with three at the front of the vehicle and two in the rear. Custom-fabricated cabinets with magnetic dry erase writing surfaces are installed above the work areas. A 30" FRP pocket door with sound absorbing insulation has been installed on a heavy-duty aluminum rack, creating separation between the two work areas when needed. An ACData surge suppressor has been added for the entire AC power system. An interior aluminum roll-up door with a satin anodized finish has been added to the front work area of the vehicle. This cabinet features 5 PC's and a series of forensics computers on heavy-duty slide-out trays, providing easy access for maintenance.
A complete emergency lighting and siren package has been added for high visibility when traveling to a scene. Four IP perimeter cameras have been added to keep watch around the vehicle. The vehicle can be leveled by using the four-point fully automatic one-touch leveling system. A 12-kW generator mounted in a custom-fabricated all-aluminum compartment provides electric power to the vehicle when needed. For HVAC, a 3-speed reversible power roof ventilator, two low-profile air conditioners with thermostat, and a 12,000-16,000 BTU/hr direct discharge diesel-fired furnace. The vehicle left our facility as a turnkey unit complete with graphics and professional training by our experienced drivers.
