BCFS is a global system of health and human services non-profit organizations with locations and programs throughout the U.S. as well as Eastern Europe, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Africa. They selected LDV to build this mobile command vehicle to assist with their mission. This 40ft command center is built on a Freightliner M2 chassis and features two 113" long, 30" deep custom fabricated slide-outs. Simplified deployment of the vehicle is handled by our Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation touchscreen system.
On the outside, a generous awning with LED underlighting provides shade from the Texas sun. We custom built a weatherproof exterior workstation into the body which houses a 50" high resolution monitor and has a flip-down work surface as well. A pneumatic mast was integrated to the rear of the vehicle and contains dual dome network IP cameras for surveillance. A Will-Burt light tower with controller was also installed for night operations. Three rooftop-mounted low-profile 13,500BTU A/C units with thermostat handle cooling duties. Three electric heaters plus one diesel furnace, each with their own thermostats, handle the heating. A Wrico 25kW liquid-cooled diesel generator supplies the electric power to the vehicle and is protected by a full-vehicle surge suppression system. Complete emergency lighting and siren package was also included. The controllers were integrated into a custom fabricated center console.
Inside, you'll find a spacious front conference room thanks to the two integrated slide-outs. The room has a large conference table that will seat up to eight, a corner workstation, large 75" Smartboard, flip-down bench seating, wide-format printer and pocket door with full-face dry erase writing surface. The center of the vehicle has a large electronics rack, aluminum storage cabinets and a galley complete with microwave, refrigerator and Keurig™ coffee maker. The rear of the truck has 4 workstations with high resolution display monitors and more storage cabinets.
