Baltimore Gas & Electric (MD) Mobile Command Center

Baltimore Gas & Electric just took delivery of this new mobile command center. The chassis is an International HV607 SBA with an all aluminum dry van body. We custom fabricated two flat floor slide-outs to maximize the available interior workspace. BGE's command center features vehicle leveling as well. Set-up of the vehicle is simple thanks to dual Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation touch panels (one in the cab and one in the rear of the vehicle interior). Extreme duty body storage compartments are included. Dual pull-out aluminum stair cassettes are also installed for entry on the curbside. The custom handrails are painted red for safety. We installed a non-locking pneumatic mast on the rear of the vehicle complete with perimeter camera system. The exterior also has a perimeter surveillance camera system installed. The complete exterior is wrapped with BGE's branding. Bright LED scene lights are also installed for night operations. The exterior also features one of our weatherproof exterior workstations with a 50" QLED Smart TV monitor that can display a variety of video sources. There is also a power-retracting lateral arm awning installed on the curbside. The roof of the vehicle features a Verizon satellite system. Inside, the vehicle features 10 workstations inside the two slide-outs. Each workstation has dual monitors. The mobile command center also features a front collaboration area with stowable chairs on casters. There is also a table extension with 3 aluminum legs that can be added to the main table for additional staff members. A 65" QLED Smart TV is installed on the front wall which can display a variety of video sources from an Extron video matrix switcher. Custom aluminum cabinets with dry erase writing surface on overhead cabinets provide storage for gear. Counter tops are solid surface for durability. We prewired and made provisions for customer-installed communications radios as well. CAT6 network wiring and jacks are utilized throughout. A galley at the rear features a microwave and refrigerator. We also installed a multi-function copier/printer. Electric power is supplied by a 25kW generator and the command center is equipped with a full vehicle surge suppression system. Three ducted low profile rooftop A/C units with wall thermostat keeps the interior cool during the summer. Dual wall mounted electric heaters are also included.
