Avondale Police Department (AZ) Mobile Command Center

Built on a Freightliner M2 conventional cab chassis, Avondale PD's mobile command center is powered by a Cummins L9 diesel engine with 350HP and an Allison 3000EVS automatic transmission. The vehicle features four (4) of our industry exclusive flat floor slide-outs for maximum interior workspace, our extreme duty body storage compartments, a weatherproof exterior workstation complete with large display monitor and more. Entry into the vehicle is provided by both a pull-out aluminum staircase on the curbside as well as the rear of the vehicle. The truck also features a full vehicle leveling system to stabilize the truck while deployed. Dual lateral arm awnings provide shade from the hot Arizona sun. The customer elected to add a telescoping pneumatic mast with dome network IP camera to the rear of the truck. A complete emergency lights and siren package along with LED scene lights were installed on the vehicle as well.

Inside the cab area is a custom fabricated center console that houses the emergency equipment controls as well as a miniature Intel-I-Touch™ touchscreen panel. The vehicle is also equipped with a color backup camera system to make parking the truck a snap.

Inside the interior of the truck you will find a front conference area with solid surface counter tops and dual workstations. The front room features spider base task chairs, flip-down bench seating and a large dry erase white board. The center of the truck houses the Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation touchscreen, aluminum storage cabinets, galley with refrigerator, microwave and Keurig® coffee maker. A tall electronics rack is also installed to house all of the vehicle's technology. The rear of the vehicle is home to additional workstations as well as a flip-down meeting table. High resolution monitors are used throughout the vehicle. Dual flush pocket doors were installed on heavy-duty aluminum track to segregate the interior workspaces. Blackout window curtains are installed on all interior windows. Overhead cabinets have bright LED under cabinet lighting. The vehicle includes a total of five (5) magnetic surface dry erase white boards as well.

HVAC systems include five (5) ducted low profile rooftop A/C units with thermostat and dual electric wall heaters. A 25kW liquid-cooled diesel generator supplies electric power to the vehicle and is housed within a custom fabricated generator housing. A full vehicle surge suppression system protects the vehicle's electronics.
