Atlantic City Electric of New Jersey recently took delivery of their new mobile command center. The 22ft. Ford F59 walk-in van is an LDV-built stock series that features an industry-exclusive flat-floor slide-out to maximize the interior space of the front conference area. This slide-out as well as the HVAC system, lighting, and generator are controlled by LDV's Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation system.
At the front of the vehicle is a conference area with flip-down bench seating, fixed bench seating with removable cushions for additional storage, and a fixed conference table with a fold down leaf. The table also includes outlets. Above each seating area is a 50" QLED 4K UHD Smart HDTV. In the center of the vehicle are custom-fabricated aluminum cabinets with adjustable shelving found on the curbside of the vehicle. On the street side are additional cabinets with a slide-out try for a customer-supplied printer/fax/copier and a galley kitchen area including a microwave, coffee maker, and 2.7 cu. ft. refrigerator.
The rear of the vehicle features four workstations with two on the curbside wall and one in each corner of the street side. The two curbside workstations share a 32" LED TV monitor between them along with custom-fabricated aluminum cabinets in varying sizes and depths. There are also custom-fabricated overhead cabinets with dry erase writings surfaces above each work area. RJ-45 Cat6 computer network jacks have been added throughout the vehicle as well.
A 15-kW liquid-cooled gasoline generator provides electric power to the vehicle when needed. To level the vehicle at a scene, a heavy-duty four point fully automatic one-touch leveling system has been installed. To keep things cool, two low-profile air conditioners have been installed while two wall mount 5,120 Btu/hr electric heaters keep things warm in the winter. Pre-wire and installation provisions have been made for customer-supplied communications radios and a customer-installed 25ft. mast.
