ASUR Mexico Mobile Command Center
ASUR Mexico recently took delivery of their new mobile command center which was originally a stock series vehicle. This 37ft. Freightliner M2 is powered by a Cummins ISB 6.7L-260HP engine and an Allison 2500 HS automatic transmission. In the cab sits a custom-fabricated console to house the locating siren controller, police radio, and other electronics. To assist with parking duties, Zone Defense color backup camera system has been added. A 30″ wide dual automatic electric steel entry step with LED ground light has been added under the passenger-side entry step for safety and convenience. Two sliding egress windows have been integrated for safety and natural light.
Inside, LDV’s exclusive Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation system automates startup, shutdown, and other vehicle procedures with the touch of a button on an LCD touch screen. A galley kitchen with a microwave, coffee maker, and 2.7 cu. ft. refrigerator is located inside near the entry door. Two FRP-covered pocket doors have been installed on heavy-duty aluminum tracks to create privacy and separate the interior spaces. Four workstations can be found in the front area of the mobile command center with custom-fabricated aluminum cabinets, task chairs, and laminate countertops. A 28″ monitor is mounted to the wall between two workstations and broadcasts images from the exterior mast camera.
The rear conference area has two task chairs sit at a fixed folding leaf conference table along with fixed bench seating with removable cushions for additional storage. An LDV-exclusive flat-floor slide-out room maximizes the interior space of the conference area, giving staff even more space to work and move around as needed. Two magnetic dry erase boards framed in aluminum sit next to one of the two sliding egress windows found in the vehicle. Flip-down bench seating sits under a dry erase board. On the rear wall, a 49″ 4K HDR LED Smart HDTV has been mounted. Prewire and installation provisions have been made for a customer-installed DSS/Satellite Broadband system. GFCI duplex receptacles, Cat6 computer network jacks with Cat6 cable, Marinco shore power package, an AutoEject shore power inlet, and an ACData surge suppressor to protect the entire AC power system have also been integrated throughout the vehicle.
On the exterior, a weatherproof exterior access door houses a 40″ 4K UHD Smart LED TV monitor. A heavy-duty four point fully automatic one-touch vehicle leveling system ensures the mobile command center sits level on any terrain. On the rear of the vehicle, a Zico Quic-Ladder affords easy access to the roof if needed. The low-profile heavy-duty non-locking telescoping pneumatic mast added to the rear features a custom-fabricated aluminum mast mounting plate for the Dome Network camera. A complete emergency light and siren package has also been integrated. For HVAC needs, 3 ducted low-profile air conditioners and 2 wall-mounted 5,120 Btu/hr electric heaters have been integrated into the vehicle. Inside a custom-fabricated generator housing is the 20kW liquid-cooled diesel generator to supply power to the vehicle. Six deep-cycle 6Vdc batteries have been installed on slide-out weather resistant compartment, making future service convenient.
