Arapahoe County Sheriff (CO) EOD Vehicle

This custom Bomb Disposal/EOD vehicle was recently delivered for the Arapahoe County Sheriff in Colorado. Built on a 2021 Freightliner M2 Conventional Cab Chassis with four wheel drive, the vehicle features a single LDV fabricated flat-floor slide-out, weatherproof exterior workstation with 43" 4K monitor, extreme duty body storage compartments and a Will-Burt® NightScan LED light telescoping light tower. Some additional exterior features are the auto open/close liftgate, lateral arm awning, emergency lighting and siren package and bright LED scene lights. The vehicle is also equipped with a leveling system. Simplified set up of the vehicle on scene is handled by two of our Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation touchscreens. There is also a 3" mini touchpad located in the exterior workstation. The truck also has a custom fabricated center console to house the emergency lighting and siren controller as well as one of the Intel-I-Touch™ touchpanels.

Inside, Arapahoe County Sheriff's truck has three workstations in the front room with spider base task chairs and laminate counter tops. Custom aluminum storage cabinets with dry erase writing surfaces are including. Heavy duty gear compartments with roll up doors feature adjustable aluminum box pan shelves. A Snap-on® Tools 7-drawer toolbox provides storage for the Department's tools. Three 32" LED HDR monitors are installed with wall mounts at each workstation. Versatie tracking is installed in the floor for securing the Department's robot during transport. Custom helmet dryers are installed as well. Three ATF-compliant day boxes are included in the center of the vehicle. A color back-up camera system was also installed to ease parking maneuvers. LDV prewired the vehicle for the Department to add their communications radios.

Electric power is supplied to the truck by a 20kW liquid-cooled diesel generator. Electrical systems are protected by an AC surge suppression system. The exterior workstation compartment features: mini Intel-I-Touch panel, (2) GFCI outlets, USB charging outlets, CAT6, Extron matix switcher and a flip-down worksurface.
