The Allstate Vans and Ford Transit were designed so the Allstate Catastrophe Team has the ability to drive into devastated areas and service their clients. The adjusters can assist in getting customers’ claims filed, basic equipment needs met, etc. On board adjusters will be able to assess damage and write checks, carry basic supplies such as bottled water, and be internet-ready so customers can connect with friends and family.
The Ford Transit vehicle includes a 2.0L gas engine and 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. It has been outfitted with eco-friendly composite shelving units on each side of the vehicle which keeps equipment from moving while the vehicle is in motion. A wire partition offers visibility while also keeping cargo separate from the cab area.
The Chevy Express Cargo Vans include a 4.8L gas engine and 6-speed automatic transmission. A custom-fabricated class III receiver hitch has been made for towing. The vehicle features two workstations with task chairs and custom-fabricated overhead cabinets. An electronics rack has been added with eight spaces for equipment. A weatherproof exterior LCD compartment aids those working outside the vehicle while an awning provides coverage. HVAC is handled by a low-profile air conditioner and a direct discharge gasoline-fired furnace. A vehicle leveling system ensures the vehicle sits level, even in devastated areas.
