Albuquerque Police Department (NM) Crime Scene Laboratory

We just completed two new crime scene laboratories for Albuquerque Police Department. These mobile crime labs are built on Freightliner M2 112 Conventional Cab Chassis and features Detroit DD13 diesel engines with 505HP and an Allison 4000 EVS automatic transmissions. The all aluminum body features four in-house fabricated flat floor slide-outs for maximum interior workspace. The vehicles deploy quickly on scene thanks to our Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation touchscreen. A vehicle leveling system has also been installed. Extreme Duty body storage compartments provide gear storage on the outside of the vehicles. A complete emergency lighting and siren package has also been installed on each crime lab. Bright LED tripod lights are also included as well as telescoping LED light towers for night operations. Power retracting lateral arm awnings provide shade when needed. A rear mounted telescoping mast with perimeter surveillance camera equipment has been installed. Dual LED search lights for use while driving have also been installed.

Inside, custom fabricated center consoles in the cab houses the siren controller, police radio and Intel-I-Touch touch panel. The front lab room has a center work table along with counters on each side. There is a pass through cabinet to the outside as well. Gear storage is provided by custom aluminum cabinetry. 32" display monitors have been installed on the front wall. The center of the vehicles have a galley with microwave and refrigerator. We also installed a lavatory with sink and toilet which is accessible from the exterior. Magnetic closure pocket doors are utilized to provide privacy when needed., The rear of the vehicle features a conference and collaboration room with center table and (5) spider base task chairs. Both flip down and fixed bench seating have also been included for additional staff members. A large 65" display monitor with a camera for virtual meetings is also part of the rear room. Magnetic surface dry erase white boards are installed. Additional storage is provided by a closet with adjustable shelving.
