Adams County Health Center (ID) recently took delivery of their new mobile medical vehicle. Built on a Ford F59 chassis with a gasoline engine, the vehicle is built with an all aluminum dry van body and features a 7.3L V8 gasoline engine with automatic transmission. We installed an electric-hydraulic wheelchair lift for accessibility. The vehicle also features a colorful full graphics wrap and power retracting curbside exterior awning for shade.
Inside, the medical vehicle has three rooms including a front examination room, central waiting and check-in area and a rear consultation/work room. The front patient room has an exam table, spider base task stool, sink and custom aluminum cabinetry for storage. We also installed a medical refrigerator. There is a small galley with microwave and refrigerator for staff. The vehicle is equipped with a pressurized water supply system as well as both a fresh water and a waste water tank. The counter tops are durable laminate. Magnetic closure pocket doors are included for privacy.
The center of the vehicle features a lavatory with toilet and sink. We installed a specimen pass through door as well. A café-style check in desk is part of the room as well. LDV's Upholstery Shop designed and built all of the fixed bench seating from scratch. A blood draw chair is also included and stowable when not in use.
The rear consultation room has another sink, aluminum cabinetry and more. A powerful 15kW liquid-cooled generator with a full vehicle surge suppression system has been installed. CAT6 network wiring and jacks are also utilized throughout. A cell phone booster kit is included with the vehicle as well. An LTE Cradlepoint is installed on the roof for wireless capabilities. HVAC duties are handled by three ducted low profile A/C units with wall thermostat. A HEPA air purifier has also been installed. Wall mounted electric heaters supply the vehicle with heat.
