LDV Mobile Medical Vehicles: Big Features. BIG Value.

Not all custom vehicles are created equal. Custom medical vehicles are complicated rolling marvels. The chassis, drivetrain, wiring, interior finishes and features all factor in on how the vehicle will perform in 3-5-10 years or more.

When it comes time to select a builder for your medical vehicle project, you want to get the BEST vehicle you can for your budget. In this blog, we outline several differentiators that make our medical vehicles better than the competition.

The body and chassis are so important when starting your medical vehicle project. We offer true commercial chassis with proven gas and diesel drivetrain options, aluminum bodies that resist corrosion and nearly endless customization options to suit your needs. A commercial vehicle will FAR outlast a light duty vehicle.

Our in-house hand-fabricated exterior storage boxes are fully perimeter-welded, heavy gauge aluminum, include a heavy duty piano hinge and are designed and built specific for your vehicle. We can add dividers and other features as needed. Our boxes are truly slam ready!

Aluminum cabinets are a must in a medical vehicle. Laminate cabinets used in many other manufacturer’s medical vehicles won’t hold up to the daily cleanings. The laminate finish gets damaged or even delaminates from the structure. Our cabinets are designed and built per truck and can be powder coated in a variety of colors and textures. We can add dry erase writing surface on the overhead cabinets for note-taking or patient welcome messages.

We utilize multiple rooftop A/C units in all of our medical vehicles. Multiple units means zoned HVAC and localized temperature control in each room. And down the road should you experience an issue with one, you have backup. Filter changes are a snap also with easy access to it on the ceiling as shown in the photo.

LDV’s exclusive Intel-I-Touch™ system simplifies the setup of your complex medical vehicle. The auto start-up function takes you through step-by-step setup of the vehicle to get you up and running fast. Intel-I-Touch will level the vehicle, start the generator, turn on all the lights and monitor everything for you. Easy!

What is MIL-Spec Wire? MIL-Spec wire is wire built in accordance with military specifications, specially designed for the harshest environments. MIL-Spec cable performs well in applications requiring absolute-reliability in physical and demanding environments. When reliability is the goal, MIL-Spec wire is the only way.

In addition, our medical vehicles utilize Hospital Care Facility (HCF) cabling designed for use with dental, outpatient services, general medical environments and more. And since our vehicles start as a bare shell, we aren’t splicing into existing harnesses or adding components to wiring never designed for those loads.

These are just some of the features that make LDV’s medical vehicles better than the rest. Our legendary lifetime support is also included with your new vehicle. Want to learn more?
