Listening to the Customer

In 1977, an enterprising Chevrolet dealer and one of his key employees became aware of the need for unique vehicle interiors. The innovative entrepreneurs listened closely to what their customers were saying. They heard that specially fitted trucks were needed to replace the van type vehicles that were being used by many varied types of businesses engaged in everyday commerce.

Providing the ability to install customer-designed interiors in vehicles would give them the opportunity to sell both the vehicles and the installation service. Armed with little more than a "Can-Do" attitude and a determination to succeed by giving prospective customers exactly what they were asking for, the company known today as LDV, Inc. was conceived.

A Variety of Mobile Solutions

Since 1977, LDV has grown from one repair bay at the rear of the Chevrolet dealership to 32 bays in multiple facilities. Today, LDV produces 9 out of every 10 Snap-on Mobile Tool Stores, and is the leader in providing Homeland Security vehicles to federal, state and local customers throughout North America. In addition to Mobile Tool Stores and Special Service / Emergency Response Vehicles, LDV's list of clients cover a variety of sales and service industries, including Mobile Medical; Mobile Sales and Promotion; Bookmobiles; Bloodmobiles; and a host of other mobile solutions.

Aftermarket Service and Support

Accessories, replacement parts and even replacement keys are available to LDV customers through our Parts Department. The in-house Graphics Department can customize signs and graphics for both truck interiors and exteriors. And LDV's dedicated Service Team will help keep you on the road.
